The content of this exhibition has been designed in an agreement with the General Curator after a workshop which was held from 17 to 31 January 2006 in Dakar.
About fifteen designers carried out their projects in Dakar with the help of local craftsmen and companies, following the example of the 2003 experience.
Some action was undertaken at the Agency for the Promotion and the Development of Craft, identified as a partner.
The advantage of this operation is that it puts the local craftsmen in a new productive situation from working drawings, with greater attention on details, a great concern for accuracy and greater consistency in using the material.
It has also helped African designers to establish a dialog between them.
