The theme shall be organised around the International Exhibition’s general theme: “Africa: entendus, sous-entendus, malentendus”. An official of the Meetings and Exchange is responsable of the practical organisation of this section of the Biennale which will be spread out on 3 days.
A programme booklet shall present the communicators as well as an abstract of each presentation.
All the presentations (available in both English and French) will be published after the end of the Dak’Art show. They will be also uploaded on the web site and some of them shall be brought together in Afrik’Arts, the magazine on visual arts published by the Biennale’s general Secretariat.
A day of reflection on design shall be organised by the representatives of the economic sector and the business world.
The Network of Resident Artist Hostels, “Res Artis”, shall be invited in the framework of the Meetings and Exchange to present its activities to the artists and professionals present in Dakar. Res Artis will grant 8 awards in the form of residency in foreign countries to artists of the international selection.
The 11th of may will take place Léopold Sédar Senghor day at the Maison de la Culture Douta Seck.
