The awards has been offered during the opening ceremony of the Biennale the 9th of may in Dakar, honored by the presence of the President of the Republic and the Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage of Senegal.
The "Léopold Sédar SENGHOR" Great Award and the Creativity award become property of the Biennale of Dakar.

The award of the prizes EU-OFF took place on may the 22nd at 5pm in the gardens of the musée Th. Monod.
For this 2008 biennale, 3laureats hav been chosen by the public among artists exhibiting in the Dak’Art OFF after a vote on ballot cards. Visitors indicated on it their prefered artists once discovered the numerous exhibitions proposed by Dak’Art OFF 2008.
