The denominations Dak’Art, Biennale de l’Art Africain Contemporain, Biennale of Contemporary African Art, Dak’Art OFF, Dak’Art_Lab are properties of the Biennale of Dakar and of the Senegalese Ministry of Culture. The different logos of Dak’Art are also the property of the Biennale of Dakar and of the Senegalese Ministry of Culture. Any use of these denominations and logos must be done with the agreement of the Biennale of Dakar and of the Senegalese Ministry of Culture.

The General Secretariat of the Biennale of Arts in Dakar, Dak’Art, is a service of the Ministry in charge of Culture of Senegal. He is responsible for organizing the Biennale of Contemporary African Art.
Established since 1989, the General Secretariat organized the first Biennale of Contemporary African Art in 1996. Previous events that it organized were known as the Biennale of Arts and Literature.
The General Secretariat of the Biennale of Dakar has its headquarters at 19 Avenue Hassan II. BP 3865 Dakar RP. Dakar - Senegal.
